Daylight visible in attic.
Our home is going to be starting drywall this week.
He s told us that the gaps are required to prevent condensation or any adverse impact to the timber within.
If you mean there is actually sunlight like sunbeams showing on the walls or floor of the attic coming in through the can i would say that sounds a lit light on baffling to keep out blowing rain.
I was hoping to get some expert advice please i am getting my house ready to sell and i want to make sure it s in as good a condition as possible.
Seeing daylight in attic space.
I can see daylight in my attic.
From inside the attic i can see daylight through certain holes at the bottom of the roof about where the gutter would be attached.
The question should i see daylight in my attic is one nj roofing contractors hear often and because the answer is not a simply yes or no we d like to provide you with a primer that helps you better understand what to look for why you might see patches of light whether they re normal when to be concerned and whether roof replacement is necessary.
I noticed a few spots in the attic space that has daylight showing.
We are on a slight incline so my roof is slightly higher than my neighbours.
Some of these holes disappeared after replacing that part of the roof but a few are still there.
Some models actually do have bands or stripes of daylight showing around the top part of the inside coming in through angled louvers.
On a bright sunny day go into your attic with the light out and see what daylight you can see.
The current vendor of the house claims that the reason for the gaps in the roofing visible from inside the atic is that it is a breathing roof.

Seems like its daylight coming through the ridge shingle.

We do not have siding yet.
If the eave opening as shown above where daylight is showing over the baffles you may or may not have them used to keep the insulation from blocking the eaves with a normal roof with an attic which is not within the conditioned space so open to outside air not heated or air conditioned you need airflow to remove moisture either making.
Hi i recently went up the attic and saw daylight coming from the very top of the roof.
It 39 s on one end of the house and not like a beam of light but like diffus hellip.
It s a new built 2 bed terrace tilled roof.
At most there should be a glow of light at the eaves end of rafters by floor you should not be able to see your neighbor.
If you have a ridge vent there could be light at the ridge but again it should be a glow more than a ray of light.
This would be the lower edge of the roof.

Is this normal or should we be concerned.
Should there ever be daylight coming through there.
